Lyrics

Lady Of The Lake
Roy Hurd

Lake water mirrors the blue mountain sky
Trees sway soft as the wind rushes by
She stands on the shoreline as it all brings tears to her eyes
She just starts singin an old Irish tune
Her voice sweetly blends with the song of the Loon
Dragonflies dance all around her they love what they hear
How much beauty can one heart take
Sings the lady of the lake

Chorus:
In the cradle of the mountain away from the world
That lake called her name back when she was a girl
With the sound of the water all around her her heart found its home
Life can be beautiful life can be strange
She knows in one moment everything could change
She writes down her wishes for love and she patiently waits
The lady of the lake

With a blanket around her she’ll dance on a clear night in June
Just like the water she moves to the pull of the moon
She’s her Mama’s French beauty she’s her Daddy’s wild Irish rose
She’ll dance till the dawn gently breaks
The lady of the lake

In the cradle of the mountain away from the world
That lake called her name back when she was a girl
With the sound of the water all around her her heart found its home
Life can be beautiful life can get strange
She knows in one moment everything could change
She writes down her wishes for love and she patiently waits
The lady of the lake

Lady
Ah lady
Lady if the lake
My lady of the lake
