Stories Behind the Songs:
Birds!

Every great song has at its source great inspiration. And one of the wonderful side effects of a great song is that it expands our knowledge of, and increases our appreciation for, the people and places behind the words and music. As we go through life, these connections to a world we would otherwise not have known help us to grow in ways we never could have imagined, and make the world a richer place.

Welcome! Come in and relive some very special Roy Hurd concert moments. Try to remember the stories behind the songs, told as only Roy can tell them, and see how many connections you can make. Get a first-hand view of the Adirondacks you may not know well, or not at all. Become part of the music!

Springtime in the Adirondacks: the first warm, sunny days bring a tender green sheen to the statuesque trees, and we watch the new leaves sprout and grow bigger with the passing days of May. But we are not the only ones who notice! From their winter homes further south, birds are returning to their seasonal nesting grounds, regaling all who care to listen with songs of the joy that new beginnings always inspire.
